FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres opened in Russia yesterday ahead of the FIFA Confederations Cup as the last-minute sales phase for the Tournament of Champions got underway. Besides online sales on FIFA.com/tickets, which continues to be the fastest way to purchase tickets, as of yesterday (17:00 CET, 18:00 Moscow time) fans can also buy their tickets over the counter at the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Sochi (for the exact locations, opening days and times, please see the following link). For technical reasons, the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centre in Kazan will open later, on a date to be confirmed in due course.
During the last-minute sales phase, which started earlier today at 12:00 CET, 13:00 Moscow time and will officially close on July 2, 2017, tickets for the FIFA Confederations Cup – including category-4 tickets which are reserved exclusively for Russian residents as well as Special Access Tickets for disabled people, people with limited mobility and obese people – will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis as a real-time transaction to the ticket applicants, which could lead to ticket categories for specific matches becoming unavailable at any moment.
Tickets for all matches of the competition, which features hosts Russia alongside New Zealand (OFC Nations Cup winners), Portugal (UEFA EURO winners) and Mexico (CONCACAF Gold Cup winners) in Group A, and world champions Germany, Chile (Copa América winners), Australia (AFC Asian Cup winners) and Cameroon (Africa Cup of Nations winners) in Group B, are still available for sale.
The official opening of the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres took place in Moscow in the presence of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko, LOC CEO Alexey Sorokin, FIFA Legend Gilberto Silva, FIFA CCO Philippe Le Floc’h, FIFA Head of Ticketing Falk Eller, Petr Aven, Head of the Bank and Directors Board of Alfa Bank, and FC Spartak Moscow and Russian national team player Denis Glushakov. During the ceremony, the FIFA Confederations Cup ticket design was unveiled.
All tickets purchased online as of April 19 are to be picked up from the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres. Fans who purchased their tickets in previous sales phases will get their tickets delivered to the address specified in their ticket application. These tickets cannot be collected from the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres.
