2018 FIFA World Cup – Group F: Sweden just about overcome South Korea!

The 2018 FIFA World Cup continued on Monday, June 17 with Sweden overcoming South Korea in a 1-0 win in Group F at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.

Sweden were the better of the two sides, but they coudn’t score of their few chances in the first half which ended goalless.

Sweden continued to dominate despite South Korea being better in the game and then VAR gave Sweden a penalty after referee Joel Aguilar waved play on for a foul on Claesson by Min-Woo Kim. Captain Andreas Granqvist scored to give Sweden a deserving lead.

South Korea had no answer to the penalty and Sweden in the end went on to win the game 1-0 and give themselves 1-0 vital points in Group F.
