2018 FIFA World Cup Tickets: first sales period to conclude on October 12, 2 million tickets requested so far!

With the qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia approaching their end and more and more teams securing their places at next year’s finals, the first ticket sales period for FIFA’s flagship tournament is soon to conclude. The Random Selection Draw sales period closes on October 12, so fans from all over the world and the Host Country Russia still have time to seize a unique opportunity to become part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup by applying for tickets over the next few days.

Tickets have been available exclusively at FIFA.com/tickets since September 14 and more than 2 million tickets have been requested so far by fans worldwide. Russian fans lead the way, while more than 30 per cent of all requests have come from international supporters: German, Brazilian, Mexican, US, Argentinian, Chinese, Colombian, Israeli and Egyptian fans all rank in the top 10, with more and more international fans expected to apply for tickets as teams continue to qualify.

During the current sales period, which runs until 12.00h Moscow time on October 12, fans have the chance to apply for tickets for every match or for specific ticket products on FIFA.com/tickets. During this sales period, it makes no difference whether fans submit their applications on day 1, the last day or any time in between, as all applications will have the same chance of being successful. In cases where the number of tickets applied for exceeds the available inventory, tickets will be allocated by a random selection draw process. All successful, partially successful and unsuccessful applicants will be duly notified of the outcome of their applications by November 16, 2017.

Tickets purchased during the current sales phase will be delivered free of charge to fans in the weeks leading up to the tournament, with deliveries planned to start in April/May 2018 (subject to change).

Full information about ticket sales for the 2018 FIFA World Cup is available on FIFA.com/tickets.
