Abinash Ruidas given NOC by East Bengal to play for Mumbai City FC in ISL-4!

Kolkata giants East Bengal Club have today issued a ‘No Objection Certificate’ for winger Abinash Ruidas to join Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC.

After weeks of uncertainty and negotiations, legal advise and finally a request, the case has been settled in the interest of the player.

AIFF Secretary Kushal Das said on the matter, “I am thankful to the East Bengal officials and IFA Secretary Utpal Ganguly as they have given Abinash to play football, as it is not good snatch football away from a footballer.”

The issue had come to the forefront as Abinash Ruidas was signed by the ISL for their players draft after the player assured and claimed to be a free agent while East Bengal claimed that the 22 year old had another year of his contract remaining with the red and gold with the player claiming the club to have forged his signature and/or changed dates on other documents.

The IFA (West Bengal), the local state body decided in East Bengal’s favour but the AIFF also got involved and took over the matter. In the end no judgement had to announced as it was settled in the interest of the player with both AIFF and IFA treating the matter now as a dead issue.
