Brazilian giants Palmeiras and adidas have revealed the club’s new home shirt for the 2018 season. With the traditional green and white colours, the kit has as a novelty the return of Palmeiras official badge to the chest, as well as the red star honouring the Rio Copa of 1951.
The shirt has a darker green, inspired by the Palmeiras uniforms of the past. Another detail is the iconic three adidas stripes on the shoulders that now come in white.
The uniform is complemented with white shorts with green side stripes and the green sock in the same shade of the shirt.
“This uniform reveres the history of a great club like Palmeiras. In it, we have the back of the dark green and the official badge, a desire of the Palmeiras. In addition, the material of the uniform takes the best of adidas technology, helping the athlete to better his performance,” says Luiz Gaspar, head of adidas football Brazil.
The new uniform features ClimaLite®, a technology that allows the uniform not to retain perspiration, allowing the athlete to stay longer at the optimum body temperature. The novelty is due to the use of MESCLA fabric, which offers a more pleasant touch when dressing – simulating cotton – without losing the benefits of ClimaLite® technology.
