AFC adds two Indian Referees to Asian Elite Panel for 2019!

The AFC referees department invited two of India’s FIFA elite referees – CR Srikrishna (Tamil Nadu) and Tejas Nagvenkar (Goa) for the elite panel selection. Both of them have already cleared the AFC practical evaluation in 2017/18.

Both of them attended the course at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from September 6-9, 2018. The course was handled by AFC/FIFA Technical Instructors.

The course details were as follows:

  • Venue: AFC House
  • 24 Referees from Asia attended the four-day course.
  • All the participants were evaluated through classroom & practical activities
  • Fitness (Fitness Test)
  • LOTG Test
  • Video Test (match incidents)
  • Presentation skill
  • English Test
  • Group discussion
  • Incident analysis
  • Practical Refereeing skill – each participant to officiate (7-10m)

As per AFC communiqué dated 27/9/2018, both of them had successfully completed the course and have been included in the AFC Elite Referees Panel 2019.

With the inclusion of these two, India now has four AFC Elite Panel Referees (Pranjal Banerjee and Rowan Arumugam), and three more FIFA Assistant referees will be joining the AFC Elite Panel with the existing four.
