AFC GS meets Pakistan FF Normalisation Committee Chairperson!

The AFC General Secretary Dato’ Windsor John met the Chairperson of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee Humza Khan and Acting General Secretary Colonel Mujahid Ullah Khan at the AFC House on Monday.

The meeting was to discuss the progress of the Normalisation Committee which is tasked with holding PFF Executive Committee elections by June 2020 by the Bureau of the FIFA Council.

Dato’ Windsor said: “We expect this NC to focus mainly on two tasks, holding the elections at all levels and running the day-to-day football affairs by ensuring Pakistan’s participation in international and regional competitions.

“Pakistan is one of the founding members of the AFC and we expect Pakistan football to get its normalcy back. This committee must ensure that the football activities and the electoral process go on simultaneously in Pakistan.”

The NC chairperson also confirmed that the committee is determined to hold ‘free and fair’ elections by the given deadline.

The Bureau of the FIFA Council had decided on June 27, 2019 to appoint the Normalisation Committee which has been given until June 15, 2020 to run the daily affairs of PFF as well as conduct the elections at the district, province and national levels.
