AFC ‘A’ Licence Certificate Course concludes in Bahrain!

The Bahrain Football Association, in collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation, has successfully conducted an AFC ‘A’ Licence Certificate Coaching Course.

Bahrain FA Board of Directors member Arif Almannai thanked the AFC for helping in the organising of the course.

Almannai also conveyed his appreciation to the instructors for their valuable inputs, which included training of trainers.

“Additional scientific and technical measures will help elevate the standard of football in the Kingdom of Bahrain and also pave the way for coaches to have successful careers,” said Almannai.

Also present was Bahrain FA Technical Operations Manager A’abed AlAnsari at the closing ceremony.

The first part of the course was conducted October 7-20, 2017. The second part was on December 2-16.

The instructor was Abdulsaheb Abdulnabi (Bahrain) and he was assisted by Khudhair Abdulnabi and Mohamed Alshamlan (Bahrain). AlAnsari was the coordinator.

A total of 24 coaches participated in the course, and they showed good performance in both practical sessions.

The AFC ‘A’ Coaching Certificate course is for coaches who hold both the ‘C’ and ‘B’ Coaching Certificates. Selection of participants is based only on the recommendation of the instructors.

The duration of the course is 27 days, with a minimum of 148 hours. The course is designed to educate coaches in tactical and advanced technical requirements of teams and team management.

Teachings of the physiological and psychological needs of the players are part of the module, and are important to enhance the coaches’ understanding of the game at this level. Students are examined on the practical and theoretical aspects of the game, and are required to submit and present a dissertation.
