AFC Pro Diploma Course concludes in Bahrain!

The Bahrain Football Association (BFA) concluded its first-ever AFC Professional Football Coaching Diploma Course, held in the capital city of Manama, Bahrain.

The 24 participants from Bahrain, Oman and Syria went through four modules from February to December 2017. The Pro Diploma course is for coaches who hold the ‘A’ Coaching Certificate as a minimum requirement, designed to teach the highest standards of coaching for clubs and national teams, and also aims to identify future instructors.

BFA Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Ali Ahmed Al Buainain praised German FIFA Instructor Erich Rutemöller and his assistant Fahd Al Mukharraq for sharing their experience in coaching with the coaches.

He also thanked German sport psychologist Professor Werner Meckler, goalkeeper instructor Dr. Jassim Alharbi of Saudi Arabia, fitness instructor Tariq Al Banay and Bahraini Dr Mahmoom Alshaway, an expert in nutrition, for sharing their knowledge.

The BFA Vice President commended the coaches for their cooperation, effort and perseverance and wished them success.

Rutemöller, in expressing his gratitude to the BFA, said he hoped the coaches would benefit from all that was learnt during the course.
