The Asian Football Development Project (AFDP) and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) Sport for Development program (S4D) will be celebrating the official launch of the “Yalla Riyada Bus” on 13 May, 2018 at Nusaiba bint Ka’ab school for girls.
The ceremony will be held under the patronage of HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, and with GIZ Director of Sports Fadi Al Jazzazi and GIZ Country Director Dr. Michaela Baur in attendance.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Yalla Riyada Bus will be touring all governantes across Jordan to organize sports festivals at public schools for children and youth, in order to encourage them to integrate physical activity into their daily lives, and to provide teachers and coaches with the knowledge and tools to maintain a fun and age-appropriate training program year round within their communities.
Attending teachers and coaches are furthermore invited to participate in the S4D qualification program that is not only aiming to improve the youth’ sporting skills but also to strengthen their social skills in order to become role models for others following the principles of Respect, Tolerance, Discipline, Empathy, Fair Play and Confidence.
