The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has condoled the death of former FIFA referee and FIFA referee’s instructor Alex Vaz, who passed away after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Vaz is survived by his two sons and two daughters.
Condoling his death, AIFF general secretary Kushal Das said, “Mr. Vaz will stay alive in all of our hearts. He has been an inspiration to many budding referees. May his soul Rest in Peace.”
Alex Vaz served as a match official for AIFF for many years and was respected by all for his assertiveness, and command on the field of play.
