Former I-League champions Aizawl FC have announced the appointment of Gift Raikhan as their new head coach for the 2018/19 season.
A left-back during his playing days, Gift Raikhan was known for his footwork and agility. He then started his coaching career in the year 2007 at Pune FC where he led the Youth Development.
In 2017 he led NEROCA FC to be the Second Division League champions and qualify for the I-League. In the recently concluded 2017/18 I-League the team that he managed, NEROCA FC finished second with a chance of being the champions till the last match of the I-League.
Gift Raikhan said, “I am really happy to join Aizawl FC, my fellow Northeastern Club. I will give my best and hopefully will help of Almighty God above, we will try and win the I-League once again.”
