ASSOCHAM sign MoU with Football Delhi to promote football!

On the occasion of National Youth Day, January 12, Football Delhi (former Delhi Soccer Association) joined hands with ASSOCHAM, India’s Apex Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the development of football in Delhi and Connecting Corporate and Industry.

“This is a momentous occasion for football in Delhi that Industry Chamber has come forward to encourage the development of football in the capital city of India through this MOU,” said Football Delhi president Shaji Prabhakaran.

Under this MoU (Memorandum of Unterstanding), Football Delhi would like to achieve greater corporation, partnership and participation in different activities of football and specifically encouraging grassroot level participation through jointly organised sports events, Seminars and Forums for development of the Football Industry in the capital and engaging Industry Members and Stakeholders in the field of infrastructure development, Sports Science, Medicine and create opportunities for engaging employees of Corporate Companies in consistent with the prevalent HR policies.

Through this MoU, Football Delhi will Initiate Skill Development Programs to create employment opportunities for Football Industry including sports goods manufacturing sectors and Work jointly for accelerating investments including tapping CSR funds for Football, for jointly organizing Corporate Football League and other activities to connect different stakeholders of the game and promote football across NCT. Thus assisting in market research relating to development and growth of Football.

With this cooperation agreement, ASSOCHAM and Football Delhi will jointly form a task force to periodically review the progress made relating to the above activities and take necessary action.

The Managing Committee of Football Delhi attended the MoU Signing meet with the Secretary General and Senior Officials from ASSOCHAM.

Rawat, ASSOCHAM Secretary General, said, “As India stands to gain from the demographic dividends as India is a young nation and on the occasion of the Country celebrating National Youth Day, it is ASSOCHAM endeavour to promote Sports and healthy life style particularly amongst the youth and heartiest to see that today’s signing and understanding with the Delhi Soccer Association for promoting a Sports & particularly football in Delhi.”
