Defending Indian Super League champions ATK today announced the signing of experienced Spanish centre-back Jordi Figueras Montel for the ISL -Season 4.
30 year old Lleida-born Jordi Figueras Montel started his football with local side UE Lleida. He also made his senior debut for the club and then in 2005 joined still as a teenager the Real Madrid ‘C’ team. After four years at Real, he moved on to Celta Vigo, where he first played a season for the ‘B’ team and then was part of the Celta Vigo first team in LaLiga2.
In 2010 he was sold to Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan, but after a few months he was loaned to Real Valladolid and then Rayo Vallecano. In 2012 he signed for Club Brugge, spend a year in Belgium and then returned on loan to Rayo Vallecano.
In 2013 he signed a long-term deal with Betis Sevilla. Only in early-2016 he left for Turkish side Eskisehirspor. In summer 2016, he signed for German Bundesliga 2 side Karlsruher SC, but after relegation he was released by the southwest German side.
