Bayern Munich announce Viessmann as Regional Partner for China!

German Bundesliga record champions FC Bayern München and the family company Viessmann have joined forces in Asia: Since the beginning of September, Viessmann is the Official Regional Partner of FC Bayern München in mainland China and Hong Kong. The partnership includes the use of trademark rights, meet & greets as well as fan trips to the Allianz Arena. Beyond that, the global manufacturer of energy systems and the German record champions have jointly founded the ‘Next Generation Alliance’ – an initiative for education with a range of activities including the FC Bayern Football Schools in China.

Both FC Bayern and Viessmann stand for ‘Made in Germany’ quality and have a strong presence in Asia. The partnership is another component of our long-term and sustainable strategy for the Chinese market.”

In FC Bayern München we have found a partner we can work in tandem with to implement this philosophy in China,” said Max Viessmann, co-CEO of Viessmann. As a family company with a more than 100-year history, Viessmann sees its responsibility in creating habitats and maintaining them for future generations.

Viessmann added, “In the Next Generation Alliance we not only want to promote and support the development of youth football in China from the start but also perform educational work to ensure the subject of sustainability is on the agenda for future generations. The improvement of air quality, considerate use of resources and the promotion of young people are centre stage in our partnership.”

Commenting on the partnership, FC Bayern München managing director in China, Rouven Kasper, added, “In Viessmann we have found a partner who fits in perfectly with our individual activation strategy for partners and our unique market approach. Viessmann fits perfectly into our partner family, and our ambitions in the Chinese market and beyond are the same. We will work with Viessmann to develop common market advantages, while offering our fans added value as well.”

FC Bayern München have a longstanding commitment in Asia including youth initiatives, fan events and institutional cooperation. In recent years, the first team have played several matches in China and Singapore.

For over two decades, Viessmann have been one of the biggest sponsors and partners of winter sport and the company is also committed to greater sustainability in that field. The company is also involved in Formula E and the Premier League club Huddersfield Town.
