Bengaluru FC B head north to face Hindustan FC in Second Division League!

Bengaluru FC B will aim to pick up where the left-off as they resume their campaign in what will be the first of two back-to-back away games in the Second Division League against Hindustan FC at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi on Monday. Naushad Moosa’s Group A leaders will be up against the Delhi-based side in the fourth-round encounter, after registering a massive 8-0 win in the reverse fixture before the break.

This tie will be followed by another away game against LoneStar Kashmir FC two days later, and coach Naushad Moosa is expecting his boys to be tested thoroughly in contrasting conditions. “It’s going to be tough schedule for the boys. The rescheduled game in Srinagar means there’s hardly any time to rest. But the plan for that game is for us to think about later, as the game against Hindustan is our first priority. Although we had a big win against them in Bengaluru, my main priority is keeping the players focused and not allowing them to get casual for this game. Every team has had 3-4 weeks of break which has given them enough time to work on the field. We can expect a different approach from Hindustan FC and we need to be at our best,” said Moosa on the eve of the game.

The Colts who left for the capital on Saturday will have a bunch of regulars missing from the squad with first team coach Carles Cuadrat calling them up for their Indian Super League game against Jamshedpur FC. “Five of our players will be travelling to Jamshedpur with the senior team. I am very happy for these players as the Coach has shown belief in them and picked them for the trip. The experience that they will get will be massive for their growth and provides our club with multiple options in terms of squad strength. I wish them the very best and hope they will do well, added Moosa.

Speaking about the game-plan he said, “We will stick to our style and play attacking football. I just want the players to enjoy the game and hopefully we can be victorious in both these games. For our team, I have included three players from our U-18 squad. Tamal Naskar, Amay Morajkar and Lalrinfela have been training with us for quite some time now and this trip will give them a learning experience as well,” added Moosa.

The match kicks off at the Ambedkar Stadium at 2.30pm on Monday.
