FIFA has launched the bidding process for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2021. An overview document containing the key information has been shared with all of FIFA’s member associations, which will have until June 5, 2019 to declare their interest in hosting the tournament by submitting the completed and signed declaration of interest form.
Other milestones in the bidding process are:
– June 7, 2019: FIFA to send out the bidding and hosting documents to those member associations that have declared an interest
– July 1, 2019: deadline for the member associations to reconfirm their interest in bidding by submitting the signed terms and conditions of the bidding process
– August30, 2019: deadline for the member associations to submit their definitive bids, including all signed bidding and hosting documents (hosting agreement, host city agreement, stadium – agreement, government guarantees, etc.)
Q4 2019: anticipated appointment of host by the FIFA Council
This year’s FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be played from November 21 to December 1 in Paraguay, which will be hosting its first-ever FIFA competition.
