Border Security Force win B.N. Mullick Police Cup!

FootballFormer National Football League side Border Security Force of Jalandhar secured the 2016 B.N. Mullick Police Cup trophy by beating Assam Rifles 5-4 on penalties at the NAPTC ground, Chumukedima in Nagaland.

In an intense final it remained goalless in regulation time between Border Security Force and Assam Rifles, which resulted in a penalty shootout and there BSF came out victorious to once again lift the B.N. Mullick Police Cup.

BSF’s state rivals Punjab Police finished third in the B.N. Mullick Police Cup which saw a total of 39 teams including state and central police besides paramilitary forces taking part.

The tournament had kicked off on November 4 in Nagaland which saw a total of 1,017 policemen with 24 match officials from within Nagaland and neighbouring states officiating in the competition which was held in a league-cum-knockout format.
