Brandon Fernandes extends contract with FC Goa!

Brandon Fernandes has signed a contract extension with Indian Super League franchise FC Goa that will keep him at the club for a further three seasons until summer 2022.

24 year old Margao-born Brandon Fernandes started his youth career with Fransa-Pax FC before playing for Velsao Pale SC, Goa United Football Academy and Salgaocar FC. Brandon went on to play for ASD Cape Town in South Africa between 2010 and 2013.

Brandon returned to India in 2015 to play for Sporting Clube de Goa, Mumbai City FC, on loan for Mohun Bagan AC and Churchill Brothers SC.

In 2017, FC Goa signed the midfielder ahead of ISL-4 in the draft and in the last couple of seasons he has established himself at the Gaurs.

Brandon Fernandes said on his contract extension, “I just love playing for this club, playing for Goa. I feel proud to represent my people. The fans have always been amazing and from the day I joined this club, I have felt at home.”

“I would like to thank Sergio Lobera and the management at the club for believing in me and helping me take my game to the next level. We were able to win the Super Cup, but we as a team, remain hungry. I am sure more success is around the corner,” Brandon added.
