Champions East Bengal continue winning CFL run, score 3-0 win over Railway FC!

Calcutta Football League champions East Bengal Club continued their winning CFL campaign with a 3-0 victory over Railway FC at the East Bengal ground on Monday afternoon.

The match kicked off with a minute of silence for former club legend and Indian international Ahmed Khan, who had died yesterday at the age of 90.

The red and gold had the perfect start into the match when Jobby Justin scored off a V.P. Suhair pass in the second minute. But thereafter Railway FC gave East Bengal a proper fight and it stayed 1-0 at the break.

In the 67th minute Jobby Justin returned the favour by setting up Kerala team mate Suhair for East Bengal’s second goal of the day and it was Suhair again in the 84th minute to score his fifth CFL goal of the season to seal the win for his side.

With their fifth win in a row, East Bengal moved back to the top of the CFL table with now 15 points from five matches.
