Chennai City FC extend contract of striker Pedro Manzi!

Defending I-League champions Chennai City FC have extended the contract of their top Uruguayan-Spanish striker Pedro Manzi until summer 2022.

30 year old Montevideo-born Pedro Javier Manzi Cruz started his football locally in Uruguay before moving to Spanish LaLiga side RCD Espanyol youth team in Barcelona.

He thereafter played for Universidad de Las Palmas, UD Tijarafe, Atlético Granadilla, Marbella FC, SD Tenisca, UD Ibarra and CE L’Hospitalet.

In 2018 Manzi left Spanish shores to join Chennai City FC with three other Spaniards. Sandro was a key player scoring 19 goals in 21 matches in their I-League title campaign.

After defender Roberto Eslava and midfielder Sandro Rodriguez, Pedro Manzi is the third Spanish player of Chennai City FC to extend his contract.
