Club legend Alexander Meier returns to Eintracht Frankfurt!

Eintracht Frankfurt legend Alexander Meier is returning to the club and will be assistant to new Eintracht Under-16s head coach Helge Rasche.

Helge Rasche himself joins Eintracht Frankfurt from Hallescher FC as head coach of the club’s U-16 side, and will be assisted by Alexander Meier, who returns to Frankfurt more than two years after his last game for the Eagles.

Meier laced his boots for Eintracht for 14 years, scoring 137 goals in 379 competitive games and even winning the Bundesliga top scorer’s accolade in 2014/15. In 2018 he ended his time as an Eagle on a high note by jointly lifting the DFB Cup trophy first alongside captain David Abraham. Meier most recently played for the Western Sydney Wanderers in the Australian A-League, before returning to Germany in January this year.
