FC Bardez, the new team in the Goa Pro League have tied up with the coolest pub and restaurant in town ‘Cohiba’. Cohiba has come to an agreement with FC Bardez and will be the club’s sponsor for the 2016-17 season
FC Bardez Co-owner Savio Roy said,”It is fantastic because it show the love that Goan entrepreneurs hold for the sport of football. We hope this association would last for a long time and this would bring in a lot of new fans and a lot of energy into the team.”
As part of its association with the club Cohiba will be hosting events for FC Bardez fans and regular customers where everyone will be able to meet with the players. Cohiba will also be selling FC Bardez merchandise at its pub for people who want to buy them.
Cohiba owner Greg Furtado said, ”We think that it’s a great Initiative for us to participatie in the most loved sport in Goa right from the grassroots and we plan on keeping our association with the team for years to come. The promoters behind the team have a vision and are ready to do what it takes to take the team forward. The team is young, energetic and raring to go. The team also positioned as a very cool team and that’s the resemblance it has with Cohiba. I think it’s a perfect marriage.”
