Delhi Dynamos sign Uruguay midfielder Matias Mirabaje for ISL-4!

Indian Super League franchise Delhi Dynamos today announced the signing of Uruguayan attacking midfielder Matias Mirabaje for the upcoming ISL – Season 4.

28 year old Montevideo-born Claudio Matías Mirabaje Correa started his professional career with Racing Club de Montevideo, then going on to play for Club Nacional de Football and there he won the national Campeonato Uruguayo.

Then he had his first foreign stint with Once Caldas in Colombia, but he returned within a few months to join Montevideo Wanderers. In 2012 he made a big move to CA San Lorenzo de Almagro in Argentina, but things didn’t work out so he was send on loan to Argentinos Juniors and Atlético Paranaense in Brazil.

He then joined CA Patronato again in Argentina before returning to Uruguay to play for Juventud de Las Piedras and Centro Atlético Fénix. In the first half of 2017, Matias played for Unión Comercio in Peru.

Now Matias Mirabaje, who has represented Uruguay in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in one game, moves for the first time out of South America and will have to prove his worth to the Dynamos, who after having mainly focused on their defensive unit during the ISL draft, are now looking to add quality in their attacking unit and there someone of the quality of Matias Mirabaje surely fits in.

About joining the Delhi Dynamos, Matias Mirabaje said, “I’m very happy with the new club and I can’t wait to wear the jersey of Delhi Dynamos. It will be a great challenge for me in a league that is growing every day and is bringing in great players.”
