Kolkata giants East Bengal Club earlier today confirmed the signing of Haitian international striker Wedson Anselme ahead of the 2016/17 I-League which kicks off in early-January 2017.
30 year old Wedson Anselme joins the red and gold from Bangladesh side Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi, where he has been playing for the last three years.
At Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi, Wedson Anselme was a team mate of countryman Sony Norde of Haiti, who has been a sensation for East Bengal’s archrivals Mohun Bagan AC.
Wedson Anselme signed on the dotted line on Tuesday and thereafter he was given the No.10 jersey, which means he will be seen as a replacement to marksman Ranty Martins Soleye of Nigeria.
