One of the most active fan groups amongst those following Indian club football teams, East Bengal The Real Power will once again be holding their annual EBRP Fest 2019/20 on Sunday, June 23 in Kolkata.
But before the action on the field, East Bengal The Real Power hosted on Sunday, June 2 the auction for the EBRP Football Fest 2019 at their hospitality partner Hotel Pride Plaza in New Town.
EBRP held the best possible auction for amateur footballers with professional expertise by the non-professionals.
Former India women’s national team captain and EBRP Football Fest 2019 brand ambassador Bembem Devi delivered a short video message with best wishes to EBRP and the participants. She also went on to share her exciting views about the upcoming 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be hosted by India.
112 players including eight marquees went under the hammer as eight teams comprising of technical directors, managers and mentors got engaged in rigorous bidding which saw goalkeeper and marquee Arup Roy being purchased by team Real Power Asean Armada for a record breaking 600 points out of 1200 points allocated to all the eight teams.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Samrat Chakraborty, manager of Pride Plaza Kolkata, without whom the event would have been possible to conduct. Celebrity Chef and owner of renowned catering services “Continental Caterers” Ranjan Neogi was present and was confirmed as the official “Food Partner” for the EBRP Fest 2019.
With the auction now done, the focus now shifts to the football action as the EBRP Football Fest 2019 will be held on Sunday, June 23.
