Electric Veng FC set MPL7 alight by defeating Bethlehem Vengthlang FC!

Electric Veng FC continued their unbeaten run in their maiden MPL campaign as they overcame Bethlehem Vengthlang FC with a 2-1 win on Thursday night.

A brace from David Lalchhuanawma was enough to see Electric Veng FC through even after they had to play the last 26 minutes with 10 men.

The newcomers enjoyed a better first half against their opponents as they created the better chances in an even match up. Vanlalhmangaiha cannot make the most of his opportunity when he was put through while David’s header forced a save from Bethlehem Vengthlang FC’s Eddie Zorammawia.

Electric Veng FC broke the deadlock early on in the second half with David Lalchhuanawma nodding in a corner delivery from Vanlalremkima.

But Bethlehem Vengthlang FC pegged them back six minutes later when Laldinliana Varte delivered a fine ball from a free kick to C. Lalrintluanga who had no problem dispatching it into the goal.

Electric Veng FC were then reduced to 10 men after Vanlalremkima was given his marching orders. Bethlehem Vengthlang FC could not make their numerical advantage count in open play and Electric Veng FC took full advantage when Devid netted another from a set play.

Lalmalsawma’s corner met the head of David who found the net to give his side their fourth win in five games.

Electric Veng FC are at the top of the table with 13 points from five matches, Bethlehem Vengthlang FC with only one point are at the bottom.
