European clubs commit as Zhuhai confirmed host city for Soccerex China 2018!

Soccerex today announced that the inaugural Soccerex China event will take place at the magnificent Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Centre (ICEC) on April 17/18, 2018, with a host of leading European clubs already committed to participate including Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester City, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg.

The two day forum will be held in partnership with Time Fun Media and Culture Ltd, and in collaboration with Huafa Sports, part of the 100% municipally owned Zhuhai Huafa Group. The event will also benefit from the support of LaLiga who are Global Partners of Soccerex.

Located in China’s famous Pearl River Delta and with close business and transport connections to Hong Kong, the beautiful city of Zhuhai is renowned for its tourism and sporting links – it had 34million tourist visitors last year and has hosted the WTA Elite Trophy event since 2015. It was also chosen by Real Madrid as the location for their interactive football experience centre which they are building with the Lai Sun Group.

The Zhuhai ICEC is the only integrated complex in Guangdong province, offering state of the art conference and meeting facilities and a network of hotels including the Zhuhai Sheraton which will be the HQ hotel for Soccerex China.

Commenting on the venue announcement, Soccerex Chief Operating Officer, Rita Revie said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be able to confirm such a wonderful venue for our inaugural Soccerex China event. In Time Fun and Huafa Sports we have great regional support and I look forward to working with them to bring the industry together in Zhuhai next April.”

With over 1,200 delegates set to attend over the two days, Soccerex China will support the delivery of China’s national football reform plan, combining expert insight about subjects such as facility development, coach education and major event hosting, with a market leading exhibition and a series of networking events to connect Chinese stakeholders with international businesses.

The event will also provide a gateway for international organisations looking to access this exciting market with a programme that will include regional thought leaders addressing areas such as Chinese fan engagement, investment and eSports.
