FC Bardez sign Joel Sunday on loan from Tollygunge Agragami!

fc-bardez-joel-sundayGoa Pro League side FC Bardez have completed the signing of striker Joel Sunday on loan from Calcutta Football League side Tollygunge Agragami. The forward has joined for the rest of the Goa Pro League season.

FC Bardez are placed second in the table approaching the halfway point of the GPL and the 28-year old Nigerian striker has been added to bolster Armando’s Colaco’s attacking options in the title run-in.

FC Bardez co-owner Savio Roy D’Souza who is also an AFC C license coach said, “We are very delighted to have Joel Sunday, a great player who can make a big difference in scoring goals. We were looking for a second foreign striker and we are happy that we have got him in the nick of time. This will help us get more positive results in the matches to come.”

The Nigerian striker started playing from the age of seven. He first played for Larry Sports Club in 2008-10 and then moved to India joining the Shillong Premier League side Langsning FC. He plied his trade for Langsing FC in the Second Division League back in the 2012/13 season. He also played for Aizawl FC in the I-League 2016 and was their top scorer with seven goals out of 12 games, He scored a winner in the dying minutes against the defending champions Bengaluru FC in the 2016 Indian Federation Cup. He had only recently joined Tollygunge Agragami to play in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division – A.

He was happy to have been loaned out to FC Bardez and said, ”This is a new challenge for me and I will give my all. I will show my talent and with God’s help we can achieve wonders. Impossible is nothing.“
