FC Hawaii youth players selected to train with FC Barcelona!

Futbol Club Hawaii soccer players Tyler Shimozono and Keita Ishikawa from the top ranked ’09 and ’10 Academy teams have been selected to train with FC Barcelona in Spain. Hundreds of players attended the week-long FCB Escola Camp in Hawaii and only two players were selected for this incredible experience.

FC Hawaii is helping players accomplish global recognition for their skills. The programs are designed for athletes ages 4-18 to develop speed, agility, and stamina while playing the world’s #1 sport. The Academy, FC Hawaii’s trailblazing experimental program based on child learning and psychology, has produced Hawaii’s most successful teams and players in their age groups since its inception two years ago. FC Hawaii’s competitive Club program for ages 6-18 focuses on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of playing soccer. The Club’s 24 coaches develop players to play at the collegiate level and beyond.

Shimozono and Ishikawa, ages 9 and 8, will travel to the exclusive FC Barcelona professional training facilities in Spain to receive specialized training. FC Barcelona uses the world-class training methodologies that developed renowned soccer players such as Lionel Messi, Xavi, and Andrés Iniesta.

FCB Escola is the flagship FC Barcelona school aimed at boys and girls between 6 and 18 years of age. Camps are held all over the world, teaching players FC Barcelona’s unique style of play from official FC Barcelona coaches. The training sessions of the FC Barcelona have been designed for players to improve the underlying techniques of soccer accurately, consistently, and at match tempo.
