Earlier this week, the Football Association of Wales (FAW) announced the renewal of the partnership with leading German sports brand adidas, who have agreed a long term deal to provide match and training wear to the Welsh National teams through to UEFA Euro 2020 and beyond.
Following a historic UEFA EURO 2016 where the team defied the odds to reach the competitions semifinals, the FAW will continue to work with adidas in developing new kit innovations created to give the players the best performing kit available every time they take to the pitch. The partnership will also ensure that the growing army of loyal Welsh fans continue to have iconic shirt designs to show their support throughout the next qualifying campaign.
Gavin Thomson, Managing Director, North Europe for adidas commented on the new deal, “adidas is immensely proud to extend our partnership with the FAW and agree a long term deal that will see us support the team through to UEFA EURO 2020 and beyond. Fresh off the back of an historic EURO 2016 for Wales, we are excited to provide new kits that will feature the latest in performance innovations and to play our part of the future of the team as they continue to evolve into one of Europe’s best footballing sides.”
