Former ATK defender Tiri joins Jamshedpur FC for ISL-4!

Indian Super League newcomers Jamshedpur FC have signed Spanish defender Tiri, who over the last two seasons had played for ATK and had won ISL-3.

26 year old Los Barrios-born José Luis Espinosa Arroyo, better known as Tiri, started his football with Cadiz CF before at youth level and then continued at their ‘B’ team making only one appearance for the clubs senior team.

In 2012 he moved to Atletico de Madrid but again to a clubs ‘B’ team and in 2015 he was send on loan to India to play for then called Atletico de Kolkata in ISL-2. He returned to Atletico ‘B’ before rejoining Atletico de Kolkata for ISL-3 and winning the title with them.

After the triumph in India, Tiri joined Marbella FC in the first half of 2017 to play for them in the Spanish Segunda División B, the third tier of Spanish football.

Now Tiri returns to India, but unlike his first two stints not to champions ATK with the Spanish connection gone but to new boys Jamshedpur FC, where he could give them a lot of stability at the back with his experience of having played ISL and he could be paired with Indian international centre back Anas Edathodika.

Tiri said in a Twitter post, “Happy to join to Jamshedpur FC, my new home. I will do everything to achieve the main objective, to win the Indian Super League. See you soon Jamshedpur FC!”
