Former Ireland international Curtis Fleming set to become Punjab FC coach!

Former I-League champions Punjab FC are set to appoint Irishman Curtis Fleming as their new head coach for the 2020/21 season.

Punjab FC, who are now a 100% owned entity of RoundGlass Sports, will go into the season without the involvement of former owners Minerva Football Academy meaning that last seasons coach Yan Law will no remain at the club.

Manchester-born 51 year old Curtis Fleming is best known for his 10 year spell as a player at Middlesbrough FC from 1991 also playing for St Patrick’s Athletic (twice), Swindon Town, Birmingham City (loan), Crystal Palace, Darlington FC, Shelbourne FC and Billingham Synthonia.

The 10-time Irish international after his career spend time coaching at youth level before being a caretaker manager at Crystal Palace, and then an assistant coach at Bolton Wanderers, Hartlepool United, Queens Park Rangers, and Middlesbrough FC.

Curtis Fleming then moved to India to join Punjab FC as their Reserve team coach last season.
