Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke was a special guest at the Indian Super League encounter between reigning champions Chennaiyin FC and Delhi Dynamos FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Saturday evening. Yorke along with another Red Devils stalwart Wes Brown whilst in the city also attended the launch of Apollo Tyres’ extended range of Apollo – Manchester United tyres.
Chennaiyin FC proudly welcomed Dwight Yorke to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, who was present along with Brown the previous day at the club’s first team base and training centre at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research for the launch of the dual-branded Apollo – Manchester United tyres. Both the former Red Devils stars interacted with Chennaiyin FC stars Mailson Alves, Inigo Calderon and Anirudh Thapa. The Chennaiyin FC trio gave the visiting duo a tour of the Chennaiyin FC first-team base while also indulging in a fun session of football skills and challenges especially created by Apollo Tyres, principal sponsor of Chennaiyin FC and global partner of Manchester United.
Chennaiyin FC is honoured to have hosted the star-studded duo, and thanks its principal sponsor Apollo Tyres for the opportunity to be in the company of two English Premier League legends who have a massive six league titles between them for Manchester United.
Chennaiyin FC players Raphael Augusto, Andrea Orlandi and Isaac Vanmalsawma will be present at the Manchester United #ILOVEUNITED fan event at the Express Avenue mall here this evening to engage with the Manchester United legends ahead of the screening of the English Premier League match between Liverpool and Manchester United. They will be at the Apollo Tyres area of the enclosure to participate in some fun activities with the duo and fans present.
