FPAI announce names of Young Player of the Year Award nominees!

The Football Players Association of India (FPAI) is once again conducting its FPAI Indian Football Awards and today they announced the five nominees for the Young Player of the Year Award.

For the upcoming 2017 FPAI Indian Football awards, the five shortlisted young Indian players are according to the number of votes they have received from their colleagues, i.e. the I-League players playing in the different clubs across the country.

Interestingly last years winner in Udanta Singh is also nominated this year.

The NOMINEES

1. Nikhil Poojari (East Bengal Club)

2. Chesterpoul Lyngdoh (FC Pune City U-19/Churchill Brothers SC)

3. Udanta Singh (Bengaluru FC/Mumbai City FC)

4. Jerry Mawihmingthanga (North East United FC/DSK Shivajians FC)

5. Issac Vanlalsawma (Shillong Lajong FC)

The winner of the Young Player of the Year Award will be announced on July 1, 2017 at the 2017 FPAI Indian Football Awards in Aizawl, Mizoram.
