FPAI – Indian Football Awards 2020 & 2021 winners announced!

The Football Players Association of India (FPAI) have announced the winners of the annual Indian Football Awards for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 season.

India and Bengaluru FC captain Sunil Chhetri bagged the 2019/20 FPAI Indian Player of the Year award for the third time in his career, while ATK Mohun Bagan goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya picked up the Indian Player of the Year for the 2020/21 season.

The players’ body, during their annual general meeting, also felicitated former stalwarts of Indian football such as Savio Medeira, Bruno Coutinho, Derrick Pereira, Brahmanand Sankhwalkar, Clifford Reyes Miranda and Samir Naik.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the FPAI has not been able to hold their annual FPAI Indian Football Awards.

FPAI Indian Football Awards 2019/20

– Indian Player of the Year: Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC)
– Young Player of the Year: Jerry Mawihminghthanga (Odisha FC)
– Foreign Player of the Year: Roy Krishna (ATK)
– Coach of the Year: Sergio Lobera (FC Goa)

FPAI Indian Football Awards 2020/21

– Indian Player of the Year: Arindam Bhattacharya (ATK Mohun Bagan)
– Young Player of the Year: Lalengmawia ‘Apuia’ (NorthEast United FC)
– Foreign Player of the Year: Igor Angulo (FC Goa)
– Coach of the Year: Khalid Jamil (NorthEast United FC)
