From gravel to green: New Hannover 96 by JAKO kits honour the football pitch culture!

Under the motto “From gravel to green”, JAKO have presented the Hannover 96 2018/19 season club kits. The jersey collection pays homage to the German Bolzplatz culture and forms a bridge to the application of Hanover as European Capital of Culture 2025, in which the theme of “neighbourhood” plays an important role.

The 96 players Edgar Prib, Timo Hübers and Ihlas Bebou wore the classic red home, the black-mottled away and the evasive neon green mélange at the presentation in the 96-Fanshop at the HDI Arena. The colours tell a story that also explains the motto of the collection “From gravel to green”.

Tobias Röschl, JAKO Head of Sales, said, “Almost all of us started playing soccer on football fields and backyards. From this environment, especially the gray-melange look of the away jersey is inspired. Our way continues from the asphalt to the green of the club sports fields, symbolized by the alternative dress. The last step is for some of the pros in the HDI Arena – there Hannover 96 will play in classic red in the coming season.”
