Future Hope School lift the Debanjan Cup Inter-School tournament in Kolkata!

After an intensive final, Future Hope School lifted the Debanjan Cup Inter-School tournament beating La Martiniere for Boys on penalties at the Heritage School ground in Kolkata on Saturday afternoon.

The Debanjan Cup organised by the Debanjan Sen Foundation founded in the name of the late Debanjan Sen, who died at a very young age in a road accident in Kolkata and he was someone who was football crazy and was working for the Football Players Association of India (FPAI) at the time.

After playing out a one-all draw in difficult conditions the match went into a penalty shootout and there Future Hope won 8-7 in sudden death.

Former India goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya gave the winner’s trophy to the Future Hope boys.
