Dr Michael Feiner, Consul General, Federal Republic of Germany in Kolkata visited the Mizoram Football Association Grassroots centre at the AR Lammual ground in Aizawl yesterday, April 19 spending a bouyant interactive session with the young trainees.
Dr. Michael told the youngsters, “I’m from Germany. Germany and Mizoram have had a relationship in many aspects of football. It will be delightful to be able to continue this relationship, and I will do my utmost in ensuring this bond continues for a long time.”
The German Consul General also encouraged the kids to put priority into their academic duties beyond football, and to work hard to be successful if they pursue their footballing dream.
He also spoke of his delight at the Mizoram Football Association for orchestrating a proper football training programme for young children and wish them success for the future.
Dr Michael Feiner was welcomed by the Mizoram Football Association leaders at the AR Lammual.
