Table toppers Salgaocar FC scored a clear 4-1 victory over Guardian Angel SC at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco on Friday.
Salgaocar FC dominated the first half as they went into the break leading 3-0.
It was Mackroy Peixoto who opened the scoring with sublime finish in the 20th minute as he twisted and turned in the box beating both defenders and the keeper. Thereafter Kamo Bayi Stephane scored twice in the 36th and 37th minute with well placed shots both beyond the keepers reach.
The second half was all possession play whereas the visitors kept pushing for a goal. And they were rewarded for their efforts as Salgaocar FC keeper Naveen Kumar brought down a Guardian Angel striker in the box, Mickey made no mistakes in putting the ball into the back of the net.
In the 85th minutes, left back Sanson Pereira of the Green Brigade ran with ball down the flank, played a brilliant one two with Aslon Oliviera and placed the ball beautifully into the far corner wrapping up the match 4-1.
Salgaocar FC are top of the Goa Pro League with 42 points from 17 matches played.
