Head of Recruitment Sven Mislintat set to leave Arsenal FC!

German scouting mastermind Sven Mislintat is set to leave English Premier League side Arsenal FC as the clubs Head of Recruitment on February 8, 2019.

Sven Mislintat had joined Arsenal FC on December 1, 2017 and has at the time at the club helped in the recruitment of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrich Mkhitaryan, Sead Kolasinac, Bernd Leno and Sokratis.

“We wish him every success for the future and thank him for his extremely hard work on behalf of Arsenal,” the club said in a statement.

Sven Mislintat said: “It’s been an amazing experience to work at a great club like Arsenal in what has been a big time of change. I am excited about what the future holds for the club and am looking forward to new challenges for myself.”

Sven Mislintat had joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund, where he had worked from 2006 to mid-2017 and was involved in the recruitment of players like Robert Lewandoswki, Shinji Kagawa, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Ousmane Dembele.

At Arsenal, Mislintat is said to have had problems with the club heirarchy and head coach Unai Emery, and therefore his contract is ending earlier than planned. Now there are rumours that he could consider to join German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
