I am part of panel to discuss Germany’s dismal 2018 FIFA World Cup!

The ‘SportTreff – Business meets Sports’ is set to host its latest edition on Thursday, August 24 at the Butcher’s Sportsbar Cologne from 7.30 to 10.30pm and I look to be a part of it.

The topic will be, ‘A 2018 FIFA World Cup look back – The football, the team, the fans; one crisis after another – or just no luck?’.

The FIFA World Cup is over, but we still take a look at the tournament and the playgrounds not only in Russia.

Together with Guido Kleve, Bundesliga referee; Holger Schmidt, West sports director of the German Press Agency – dpa and Arunava Chaudhuri, football adviser and sports journalist, they want to clarify over the evening, whether the World Cup was only crisis-ridden and ran after the luck, or if the common thread would have been recognizable with downward tendency…

Where should the journey go? What can and must change professional football, should not be started in the amateur field with new structures?

We will take up these and other points to give fans an insight into the business and perhaps get a new perspective on things, and in addition to changes, the glasses will also need to be readjusted…

Now it’s time to look ahead.
