I-League leaders Chennai City FC sign Sinivasan Pandiyan on loan!

Current I-League leaders Chennai City FC have signed Sinivasan Pandiyan on loan from current ISL champions Chennaiyin FC for the remainder of the 2018/19 season.

Only last summer Sinivasan Pandiyan had left Chennai City FC for Chennaiyin FC after a very successful I-League campaign but he couldn’t make an impact at a struggling Chennaiyin FC.

Pandiyan is the youngest of three brothers, all of them footballers. Coming from a modest background, his rise to the top of the Indian football ladder is impressive given his young age. Born and raised 350 kilometres from Chennai in the temple town of Thanjavur, Pandiyan, just like his older brothers, received his initial training at the Noble Football Academy in Karaikudi district.

He then went on to play for Indian Bank in the 2015/16 season followed by Viva Chennai in 2016/17 in the Chennai Football Association (CFA) Senior Division League. He then went on to play for Chennai City FC at the national level.
