India U-16 Team loses 2-5 against India U-19 Team!

The India Under-16 National Team lost 2-5 against the India Under-19 National Team in a practice match on Thursday, April 13 at the Benaulim Ground in Goa.

The Indian U-19 National Team turned up the style and scored four in the first half, leading their young mates to play catch-up for most of the match. The first of which came as early as the 5th minute, when an indirect free-kick fumbled into the U-16’s net. In the 25th minute, the Indian U-19s doubled their lead and an impressive goal by Edmund in the 36th minute made it 3-0 in their favour.

Edmund added another in the 43rd minute as the half-time scoreline read 4-0 in India U-19s favour.

Changing over, Minga added more gloss to the scoreline in the 60th minute. The U16s tried to make a comeback and goals by Vikram in the 70th minute and Harpreet in the 71st boosted them with hope.

But with time their enemy and the difference enormous the spirited Colts could not stage a dramatic comeback as the full-time scoreline read 5-2 in India U19s favour.
