India U-17 boys comprehensively beat Complutense Alcala Academy of Spain 11-0!

In their ongoing preparations for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup at home, the India Under-17 national team faced Complutense Alcala Academy of Spain and scored a comprehensive 11-0 win in Madrid on Saturday, June 24.

The young Indians opened the scoring through Abhijit Sarkar in the 8th minute before Manipuri winger Ninthoi Singh scored a clean hattrick by scoring in the 19th, 21st and 35th minute to take the score to 4-0. Before halftime Abhijit Sarkar also completed his hattrick by adding two more in the 41st and 45th minutes to take the result to a tennis like 6-0 score at the break.

After the breather the India domination continued with Komal Thatal scoring in the 60th minute and just three minutes later Rahim Ali added his name to the scoresheet. Midfielder Amarjit Singh added a ninth goal for India in the 73rd minute before Rahim Ali and Amarjit both scored their second to take the result to 11-0 at the end of the game.

This one-sided match against Complutense Alcala Academy was a great result to get their Spain sojourn started, but tougher opposition will be taking in the coming days and weeks ahead of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup at home in October.
