India U-17s lose 0-3 to Colombia in Torneo de 4 Naciones in Mexico!

In their second match of the Torneo de 4 Naciones in Mexico, the India U-17 World Cup Squad lost 0-3 against Colombia at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento in Mexico City earlier today, August 4.

After yesterday’s harsh 1-5 loss to hosts Mexico, the India colts again conceded an early goal, this time in the 8th minute through Colombia’s Juan Vidal.

India played a better first half than yesterday but Colombia kept them at bay and scored in the first half injury time with Deymar Cortés this time the goalscorer for Colombia.

Two minutes into the second half and Colombia scored another from a corner kick through Fabián Ángel with the scoreline now reading 3-0, but India kept their opponents at bay in the second session not to concede another goal.

In the day’s other match, hosts Mexico defeated Chile 3-1 to get their second win in as many days.

The Indian U-17 World Cup Squad face Chile in their last match of the Four-National Tournament on Sunday, August 6, 2017. The kick-off for which is slated for 8:30pm IST.
