Indian Arrows defender Narender Gahlot signs for Jamshedpur FC!

Indian Super League franchise Jamshedpur FC has announced the signing of 18-year-old defender Narender Gahlot from I-League side Indian Arrows. The youngster has penned a deal for a term of three years with the Jharkhand-based side.

At the age of 18, Narender has made headlines for being named in the 35-man preliminary India squad for the upcoming Intercontinental Cup by coach Igor Stimac. The youngster had an impressive outing for the Indian Arrows, racking up 10 appearances last season.

On signing with Jamshedpur FC, Narender added, “When this opportunity came towards me I did not wait long to say yes to it. I am thankful to the management for giving a young player like me the chance to showcase my talents at the biggest stage in Indian Football. I want to visit Jamshedpur soon and make sure the fans are very proud of me. Jam ke khelo Jamshedpur.”

Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari added “Narender is one of the brightest prospects as a centre-back in India. His recent performances have been excellent and I am sure he will be a great asset for the club going forward. He will benefit a lot from our experienced set-up at the defensive unit. Looking forward to seeing him play for Jamshedpur FC.”
