Injured 35 year old Syrian midfielder Mahmoud Al Amna will not return to play for East Bengal Club in the 2018/19 season after being released by the club.
Al Amna had picked-up a back injury during the clubs pre-season training in Malaysia after having made an instant impact on his return for the 2018 Calcutta Football League, but even he could not help in the club winning a record straight ninth CFL title.
The club in a release said, “Quess East Bengal FC (QEBFC) announces the release of Mahmoud Al Amna. The separation was done mutually and amicably. Quess East Bengal FC acknowledges the glorious contribution of Mahmoud Al Amna and wishes him the very best in his future endeavors.”
