ISL-3: Delhi Dynamos hold league leaders NorthEast United FC to a draw!

delhi-dynamos-northeast-united-fcDelhi Dynamos FC had to give everything to contain league leaders NorthEast United FC to a one-all draw in their Indian Super League – Season 3 match on Saturday evening at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the capital.

The first session saw chances galore at both ends with the keepers Antonio Doblas and Subrata Pal both in the thick of action and if not, then their defenders were there to deny the strikers. It was a Subrata mistake following a Delhi Dynamos corner that gave Kean Lewis the opportunity to score, which Kean did past a defender in the 38th minute. NorthEast United should have equalised in the first half injury time but a Nicolas Velez attempt was cleared just before the line by Dynamos defender Ruben Rocha.

After the restart Subrata Pal made up for his mistake with a strong save against Richard Gadze before at the other end in the 51st minute Velez found Emiliano Alfaro inside the box, his first attempt was blocked but his fierce second attempt went into the nets for a deserving equaliser for NorthEast United.

There were chances at both ends towards the end of the game, but it stayed 1-1 between these two sides on the night.
