ISL-3: FC Goa suffered another defeat, this time 0-2 to Delhi Dynamos!

fc-goa-delhi-dynamosLast season finalists FC Goa remained at the bottom of the Indian Super League – Season 3 standings with a 0-2 home loss to the Delhi Dynamos at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao on Sunday evening.

FC Goa can only blame themselves for the loss as they wasted numerous chances of going ahead before Delhi did in the second session.

The first chance came in the fifth minute, when Rafael Coelho chipped the ball, but keeper Toni Doblas got his fingers to the ball and Anas Edathodika could head the ball out of play before it went into the goal.

After Julio Cesar’s attempt went wide for FC Goa it was Richard Gadze time as the Ghanaian wasted three chances for the Dynamos to go ahead before a brilliant Mandar Rao Desai effort hit only the post before Gadze once more failed to score. It remained goalless at the break.

After half chances at both ends it was substitute Marcelinho who received a goal kick from Doblas, worked his way through the FC Goa defence and his hard shot beat Subhasish Roy Chowdhury in the 72nd minute to give the Delhi Dynamos the lead.

FC Goa was shocked and before they had digested the goal in the 76th minute a Florent Malouda cross was headed on by Marcelinho and this time Gadze scored for the Dynamos to seal the game. It stayed this way until the end as the Delhi Dynamos scored a memorable 2-0 win at FC Goa to move into the playoff spots, while FC Goa remain bottom of the table with only four points.
